Conference and lectures
In collaboration with the Faculty of English at Cambridge, the Cambridge Victorian Study group and the Persian Department at the University of Leyden (The Netherlands) organized a five-day conference from July 6 to July 10, 2009. The first part of the conference took place in Leyden, July 6 and 7. For the second part scenes changed to Cambridge on July 9 and 10.
A final report of the conference 'The Legacy of Omar Khayyam', held 6-7 July 2009 at Leiden University, was recently published by Asghar Seyed-Gohrab of the Leyden Institute for Area Studies (LIAS): 'Momentary Glimpse'

The exhibition in Cambridge University Library gave occasion for a lecture by Bill Martin and Sandra Mason. This illustrated talk by the co-curators of the exhibition was followed by a guided tour of the display, which took place Saturday, 21 February, 2009.
